Posting Your First Job Listing
Getting to the job editor
From the dashboard, click the + Post a Job button. This opens the job listing editor — a straightforward form you can complete in about 10 minutes.
Required fields
Job title
Be specific. “Senior React Developer” will attract better-matched candidates than “Developer.” Avoid internal jargon — write the title as a candidate would search for it.
Job type
Choose from: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Freelance, Internship, or Temporary.
Location
Enter the city and state where the role is based. If the role is remote, check the Remote checkbox — you can still add a location to indicate timezone preference.
Salary / Compensation
You can enter a specific salary, a range, or check Negotiable if you prefer not to publish a figure. Listings with salary information consistently receive more applications.
Job description
The editor supports full rich text. A strong description typically includes:
- A short “about the role” paragraph (2–3 sentences)
- A bulleted list of responsibilities
- A bulleted list of required qualifications
- A section on what you offer (benefits, culture, flexibility)
Optional fields
- Application Deadline — After this date, the listing closes automatically.
- Application Limit — Set a max number of applications before auto-closing.
- Screening Questions — Add up to 5 custom questions applicants must answer.
Publishing
Click Save as Draft to save without publishing, or Publish Listing to make it live immediately. Live listings appear in search results within a few minutes.
