How ad credit works
We run your ads. You don't lift a finger.
Every KometLaunch and KometOrbit plan includes $500 in monthly ad credit — real advertising dollars we deploy on Google and Meta to put your open roles in front of Northeast Indiana job seekers. You choose the platform: Google, Meta, or a split between both. We build the campaigns, manage them, and report back.
100% of your ad credit goes into media spend. We don’t take a management fee out of it. Campaign setup, management, and reporting are included in your plan.
The details, plainly stated:
- Included credit is granted when your monthly payment goes through, and it’s yours to use that month plus the following month. After that, it expires. It doesn’t stockpile.
- We spend up to your full credit. Ad platforms bill in odd increments, so a few dollars may be left over in a given month — those carry into the next month’s campaigns rather than disappearing.
- Need more? You can buy additional ad credit any time, on any plan — including the free plan. Purchased credit is good for 180 days from the date of purchase.
- You’ll see where it went. Your dashboard shows your current balance, what’s been deployed, and where. We send a summary report at the end of each month.
A few honest caveats:
- Ad credit has no cash value. It’s a credit toward advertising, not a deposit or a store of funds. It isn’t refundable, transferable, or redeemable for cash, and unused credit is forfeited if you cancel or downgrade.
- Employment ads are a restricted category on both Google and Meta. Those platforms deliberately limit how narrowly employment ads can be targeted (no targeting by age or gender, and limited geographic and interest targeting). This is a rule the ad platforms impose on everyone — it means job ads reach a broader audience than a typical ad campaign, and we work within those limits.
- We can’t guarantee results. We can guarantee your budget gets spent well and that you’ll know exactly where it went. Nobody can honestly promise you a hire.

None. You pay your first month’s plan rate when you upgrade, and that’s it. No setup fees, no onboarding charges, no activation costs. Your account is live and fully functional the moment payment is processed.
We’re building out formal discount programs — reach out to our team directly to discuss your situation. Multi-location employers with enterprise-scale hiring needs may also want to explore KometOrbit, which includes unlimited listings and a dedicated account manager who can work through high-volume arrangements.
An active listing is any job posting that is currently live and visible to job seekers on the platform. Listings you’ve closed, filled, or paused don’t count against your active limit — so you can archive completed roles and post new ones freely within your plan’s active slot count. Listings don’t expire on a timer; they stay active until you close them or your account changes.
Yes. Add-on ad spend is billed separately from your subscription. You authorize a specific budget amount, and we charge only that amount — no automated increases, no overage charges. If your campaign reaches its budget cap, it pauses rather than exceeding your limit. You’ll receive a separate, itemized invoice for any ad spend billed in a given month.
No. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of your current billing period. You won’t be charged again, but you keep full access and your listings stay live until the period ends. If you’re on the free plan, your account and listing remain active indefinitely — cancellation only applies to paid subscriptions.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for your current billing cycle — you only pay the difference for the days remaining. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period so you keep your current features through the month you’ve already paid for. If a downgrade reduces your listing limit below your active count, you’ll be prompted to choose which listings to keep active.
Yes — the free plan is a real, functional employer account, not a stripped demo. You get one active job listing, a full employer profile, an applicant inbox, and direct messaging with candidates. It’s genuinely useful for smaller businesses or employers who want to test the platform before committing to a paid plan. There’s no time limit on the free plan.
